Date for Next Club Meeting Set: April 15 (Dues Due)
Our new date for the next meeting is now Sunday, April 15 from 12:00 to 3:00. This is a special and important Club meeting. All members and guests interested in joining the Club should plan to attend. While the pups are playing, we will nominate new officers and conduct elections.
Also, 2012 dues for all previous members and returning guests are now past due (only $10 per member/$20 per couple). If you have not yet paid your dues, please plan to do so at the April meeting. Club dues are important for many reasons: donation to the facility we use, snacks and beverages at the events, prizes for the Fun Match, etc. Please plan to make this nominal contribution at the next meeting if you have not already (or mail it to Barb McNab at the AKC Museum).
Finally, we want to become more active in planning things to do with our dogs. While we'd originally hoped that a member would step up to be the social-event planner, we've had no volunteers to date. An alternate idea suggested was to ask members to accept responsibility for just one event every once and awhile. If we can get just 4-6 members to step up and take responsibility for planning and communicating just one event each every few years, we'll have much to do with our Cav friends throughout each year. Those plans can be for what we do at a regular meeting at the AKC Museum or for an outing between meetings (e.g., as we've done at Laumeier). Please come both willing to volunteer for a date and with ideas on the kinds of things you think would be fun and interesting to do.
